Mark Winters returns with amplified and textured Radio Remix of Boundary Layer

As huge fans of Mark Winters, having covered a slew of his previous releases, we couldn’t wait to listen to his latest release, the Radio Remix of Boundary Layer.

Drawing us in with a decadent guitar soundscape and a pristine vocal, Mark sings, “Pushing at the supersonic speed, I can see what I need, I’m soaring faster and higher, breaking through, I believe in me…”

We immediately connect with the optimistic nature of the opus, and the empowering message that Mark Winters shares with his prose. Naturally, the instrumental design showcases the mastery that we are used to hearing from Mark, creating a cohesive architecture where is vocal sits perfectly.

The solos are transcendental, in line with the lyrics from the song, and we love the charismatic nuance with which Mark conveys his story and the power-pop nature of the astral harmonies.

We learn that the Radio Remix takes “a more aerodynamic approach” to the track, adding “percussion elements, a tighter bridge and some fun harmonies to sing along with.” Speaking on the release, Mark confesses, “Our fans love Boundary Layer live, and we have incorporated many of the live performance elements into this remix; something we plan to do more often in futureĀ songs.”

The Radio Remix of Bounday Layer has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Mark Winters including the charming, Life of 3 and the transcendental, Copper Queen!
