Lump200 returns with subversive and dimensional new single, CEX

We previously featured Lump200 for the cerebral trip, Kryptomarch and I Am The Elephant In The Room, so when we heard that the Berlin based electro-clash cross act had just released CEX, we were intrigued to say the least!

Immersing us with a bold and panning industrial frequency with fierce add libs, CEX opens with the sound of a phone notification, bell nuances and the subversive percussion textures that we have come to love, admire and expect from Lump200.

The opus expands with a high octane energy, and synthetic ebbs and flows of sound design that are truly captivating. The overall experience of the track is highly unique and profound. We are met with a meditative moment where the key synth is pulled out to allow the percussive elements, rippling bells, and vocal add libs to come through. The journey that Lump200 takes us on feel introspective and futurist, and needless to say, we are in awe.

We learn that CEX is the third and last single release from the Lump200 album Isles of You, set for release on May 12! As we previously learnt, Isles of You is a hybrid release with a social audio app that accompanies the release. The creators confess, “Tt’s all about participation, co-creation and crowd-recording.”

We deeply appreciate the intention and depth that Lump200 design their universe with, and have added CEX to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Lump200‘s wider discography and anticipate the releases of the album on May 12!
