Munk Duane returns with inspiring and anthemic new single, My Fellow Americans

By now, you will know that we are huge fans of Munk Duane, having featured his introspective and profound single, Myths, and the elegant and intricate, Just A Word, so when we heard that the star had also released My Fellow Americans, we couldn’t wait to listen and feed back!

The opus opens with a narration vocal and the inspiring words, “I do believe we are destined for great things”, before a neo-soul guitar soundscape envelopes us with a dimensional bassline!

“We don’t need the trouble, we don’t need the pain, we don’t need the gaslight, we don’t need the vain, oh My Fellow Americans get up, and get love…” sings Munk Duane as he rallies love energy from his compatriots, and needless to say, we are mesmerized.

Speaking on the message of the song, Munk Duane confesses, “There are forces that are tirelessly and relentlessly working to pit us against each other in 2023 America, and they are succeeding.”

He continues with intentional depth, “The new song is a call to place love for our commonalities ahead of our differences and to resist the wedge that those with self-serving agendas, with no regard for the societal and generational fall-out, would drive between us.”

We love what Munk Duane conveys with his lyrics, and the luscious soundscape with which he creates. Naturally, My Fellow Americans is written, performed and produced by Duane, with additional bass by Steve Davis. We also learn that the song was mastered by Brian Lucey (Lizzo, Post Malone, The Black Keys) at Magic Garden Mastering, Los Angeles!

The inspiring and anthemic My Fellow Americans has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Munk Duane‘s wider discography including many of the songs that he has featured in the Extreme Music library – the production music arm of Sony Music Publishing!
