Munk Duane soars on introspective and profound new single, Myths

Setting the tone with strummed, immersive guitar and timeless chords, Munk Duane opens Myths with intrigue and atmospheric vocals as he sings, “Seems that every single joy in life’s gone to ground, seems that every single word of mind, makes no sound…”

The opus expands into a luscious indie-pop meets soft-rock soundscape, as Munk Duane takes us on an intricate journey full of charisma and poetic prowess.

We learn that Myths is a “melancholy examination on the fleeting nature of time.” We appreciate the soaring and emotive vocals, with textured harmonies as Munk Duane shares his soul with a soulful, R&B waltz vibe. The drums are super unique and punctuate the composition in the most dynamic way.

It is no surprise that Munk Duane has had some of his songs featured in iconic TV shows including Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, The 70th Annual Tony Awards, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Hawaii Five-O, 60 Minutes, NCIS and Blue Bloods, to The Sopranos, the Super Bowl Half-Time Show and NCAA March Madness. He has even composed music scientifically calibrated to induce a relaxing state, for the smart sleep device company Hatch!

We are in awe of his authenticity and depth, and have added Myths to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Munk Duane‘s wider discography including Fisheye and Dangerous.
