In early 2025, we featured TATE SEDAR’s 10-minute epic mash-up When You Hold My Hand, which redefined the art of mixing progressive and bass house with nostalgia, innovation, and festival-ready energy, so when we heard that TATE was back with Take It All Back, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to immerse ourselves in his universe once again.
Take It All Back opens with a rising static energy and pulsating yet ethereal synth. Atmospheric vocals guide us into a dimensional bass expansion as cosmic synths evolve alongside industrial motifs. The track switches into precision and clarity with an almost metallic edge. An 80s astral synth evokes notions of nostalgia whilst the main body of the track is grounded in visceral poignancy.
A stripped-back sci-fi vocal with elegant guitar creates a peaceful and meditative lull before 808s rebuild, intertwined with a riser as the tempo increases blowing our minds with a drum and bass segment. The dynamics are literally out of this world. This is some of TATE’s best work. We could imagine the track being featured in a movie like Lucy by Luc Besson, or perhaps a scene from a futuristic Matrix film. It would also work well in a series like Gen V or even a Spiderman movie.

What makes Take It All Back even more interesting is how it brings TATE’s early love of complextro into a fresh dimension. The track also marks his debut on Big Fish Recordings, a label connected to artists who helped inspire his journey, including Zedd, Lucky Date and Porter Robinson.
Needless to say, we are obsessed, and have added Take It All Back to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TRIPPY playlist whilst we continue to stream the growing discography of TATE SEDAR, including Wish I Could, San Francisco, and Heaven.
