Our obsession with Samaistha seems to grow with every listen. We last featured the high concept project for exploring spiritual integration and sonic healing with the hypnotic composition, Where The Senses Meet, so when we heard that artist Jürg Schwarzenbach was back with Find Your Way, we couldn’t wait to immerse ourselves in his universe again.
Find Your Way opens with a meditative frequency and hummed vocalizations tapping into the project’s cinematic energy and high spiritual quotient. Atmospheric vocals from KVFKA deliver conscious prose with an optimistic message. The build of the soundscape is sublime, with tribal drums and textured motifs.
It feels like a scene from The Lion King, and we appreciate the cosmic notions and as the vocals pull out half way through we experience what feels like a euphoric awakening. Choral harmonies guide us to find the light and ourselves. The vocals which once resonated like a mantra, served their purpose as a portal into a higher dimension. Their return feels like a full circle confirmation of what we have been looking for.
There is no doubt that the track would be perfect during a shavasana at the end of a yoga class, and it feels very poignant that the track was released in the week of the solar eclipse in Leo. “Are you stuck in the middle?” questions KVFKA as he asks us to take a step and trust in the universe.
We could easily imagine Find Your Way landing in a cinematic moment in a film like The Secret Life of Walter Mitty or Limitless, but also a series like PLUR1BUS and Nine Perfect Strangers that tap into these psychedelic, universal notions. The message is simple but powerful. Samaistha and KVFKA do not attempt to provide a prescriptive answer to life, just guidance and reassurance at a time when we, as a species, need it the most.
We appreciate how the production mirrors this philosophy. The arrangement never feels rushed. The production feels almost like a sonic ritual. There is also a beautiful universality to Find Your Way.
