Establishing the mood with cosmic vocals, expanding with a dimensional bass, reverberating off into the distance and vocalizations of the words, “all night”, DJ Cards opens After Midnight with his signature dynamism and flawless production.
The opus evolves with astral synths like shooting stars as we are invited to “let go, all night…”. There is a sensual euphoria that comes to life with the track, and it would be perfect for a nightclub, but also in a TV show like Heated Rivalry or Elite on Netflix.
We appreciate the spiritual percussion elements and the airy vocals are simply sublime. There is no narrative journey, other than connecting with the music, liberating ourselves and being at one – that alone feels deeply moving, offering a level of hedonism that we all need in the face of so much turmoil in the world.
Speaking on the festival-ready release, the visionary producer tells us, “After Midnight captures the energy and freedom of the hours when most of the world is asleep. Built around uplifting melodies, driving beats, and a cinematic late-night atmosphere, the track blends EDM and trance-inspired elements into a journey that’s equally suited for the dance floor and the open road.”
It’s definitely a track that we would love to drive to, and we imagine that fans of Kygo, Diplo and John Summit would be able to connect with what DJ Cards has created!
For some contextual background, DJ Cards is an internationally featured EDM producer also known as Michael Cardamone. Based in Philadelphia, DJ Cards is also an attorney – earning the distinctive nickname “The Lawyer Who Drops Beats.” Alongside his work in music and law, he has trained in MMA and Muay Thai, bringing discipline, focus, and intensity into every aspect of his craft.
