Carson Ferris returns with dynamic commentary on courting and rejection in new single, Talkin’ to You

When we heard that the talented Carson Ferris was back with a brand new single called Talkin’ to You, we were stoked to listen to the rising popstar’s latest release and keen to share our experience.

“You’ve been haunting me, you stalk me in my sleep…” sings Carson with a pristine pop vocal, accompanied by textured guitar arpeggios, astral nuances, and celestial frequencies.

The opus expands with pop perfection, creating a dynamic soundscape reminiscent of the 90s and 2000s, Max Martin style, flawless and emotive productions. We appreciate the timeless nature of what the young star shares, and it is abundantly clear that he has a successful career ahead of him as a certified icon.

Designed to also double as “a spooky Halloween song”, the creator tells us that Talkin’ to You is “about the scariest thing imaginable: no, not monsters or ghosts, telling someone you like them, and then worrying about the rejection that may follow.”

Carson divulges, “I loved making this song because it’s got a kind of spooky vibe that’s great for Halloween time, but it also can be listened to whenever you feel so inclined.”

Fans of Jonas Brothers, OneRepublic and Ed Sheeran will be able to connect with Talkin’ to You, which was written by Carson Ferris and Michael Van Wagoner. The song was produced by Mykyl, mixed by Adam Turley, and mastered by Eric Disero.

It is certainly a relatable song, as are all of Carson Ferris‘s releases. We appreciate the attention to detail and the charisma that the rising artist creates with. Naturally, we have added Talkin’ to You to our New Music Spotlight playlist, as well as our brand new TIMELESS playlist!
