Setting the tone with piano chords and a dimensional woodblock performance expanding into an immersive 80s synthscape, ATF opens Your Touch with dimensionality. The opus evolves with atmospheric vocals and the lyrics, “How do you breathe can you be the sound I need? I feel like I’m fading, so why don’t you shine on me?”
We are immediately captivated by the cinematic allure and the authenticity of the prose. There is no doubt that Your Touch would be perfect for a multitude of sync placements, notably a film like Drive, or an episode of the upcoming season of Heated Rivalry, and perhaps an episode of Euphoria.
The poetic prowess is tangible and the message of the song is super relatable. The synth performances are sublime, dynamic in nature and bold in design, leading through to an epic instrumental segue before a stripped-back piano and vocal breakdown for the outro.
Speaking passionately on his artistry, ATF confesses, “For me, music is not an end product. It is a process. Something that arises from moments that are difficult to explain, thoughts that linger, feelings that cannot be expressed in words. I try to capture that in my tracks. Not perfect, but real.”

The Dutch producer continues, “For me, it is also a very creative process without a fixed form. Sometimes I start with drums, other times I first feel a piano melody, a lead, or just a certain sound that pulls me somewhere. I don’t work according to one method, I follow what is right at that moment. Sometimes there are moments when I start creating very consciously. Then I dive in, do research and try to perfect everything in detail. But there are also times when I let it go completely. Then it comes directly from my feelings, without thinking about what others are doing. Those are the moments when I am most experimental, where everything is allowed to arise without limits.”
ATF cites Scott Storch, 2Pac, Avicii, and The Weeknd as sonic influences, which we can feel manifest, although there is no doubt that he is carving out a universe unto his own design.
We have added Your Touch to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we anticipate future releases from ATF!
