Drawing us in with a rising synthscape and vocalizations of the title of the track, ELTUS opens HUSH HUSH HUSH with ethereal dimensionality and dancefloor-friendly vibrancy. We appreciate the build of the track and the inspiring notions of connecting with one’s body.
The first beat drop is refined and leads us to the lyrics, “Move your body left to right, feel the heat, feel the night, take it higher, hold it tight, we’re on fire, feel the light…”. We connect with the timeless nature of the track and the glitched vocals with soaring moments that feel like a cosmic ascension.
At a time when Madonna is inviting us back onto the dancefloor, HUSH HUSH HUSH feels highly zeitgeist, and there is no doubt that fans of the legendary pop star would also be able to vibe with what ELTUS is creating.
Naturally, the mix is sublime, in line with the progressive technology used to create the track. The tempo shift for the middle eight is a special moment and keeps us enthralled before an epic finale and celestial final breakdown with boundless synths.
Speaking on the release, ELTUS, who is based in France, confesses, “This release was influenced by powerful female-vocal dance records and the emotional energy of modern club music. One of the emotional references behind the idea was the dramatic, memorable feeling of The Pussycat Dolls’ Hush Hush, but my track is not a cover or remix — it is an original Bass House / EDM production built around my own ELTUS sound. I was also inspired by the intensity of festival-ready electronic music, strong vocal hooks, energetic drops and tracks that create an instant connection with listeners on the dancefloor.”

We could definitely imagine this playing in clubs around the world and festivals like Coachella. The energy of the track is electric. ELTUS continues, “The story behind HUSH HUSH HUSH is about attraction, secrecy and emotional tension. I wanted to create a track that feels like a private message on the dancefloor — mysterious, catchy and full of energy. The “hush” idea represents something hidden, something you feel but do not say out loud.”
Needless to say, we are hypnotized and in awe of what ELTUS has created, and have added HUSH HUSH HUSH to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of ELTUS, including NOT FOREVER, and Don’t Forget Me (Arabic Version).
