We previously featured the uber talented Tom Tikka & The Missing Hubcaps for the emotive and expansive, Something New, as well as his perspective on healing the world with the evocative, Venetian Rubber Boots, so once we heard that the star was featured on WILLJACK‘s new single, Overnight Sensation, we were curious to say the very least!
Overnight Sensation opens with a luscious, choral vocal asking “Don’t you want to be my little overnight sensation?”, along with an immersive piano performance as we experience a charismatic and theatrical rock vibe, taking us on an adventure with a rise-to-fame narrative that we cannot get enough of!
Poetic prowess and philosophical depth are key themes of the opus, and we appreciate the candour and vivid concepts that are shared by WILLJACK and Tom Tikka. It is no surprise that Overnight Sensation has already charted on both sides of the pond within days of its release.
Naturally, the release comes with a captivating music video shot in both Helsinki and London, bringing to life the emotional nature and the themes of manifestation that hold the core of the message.
The track also features Paul Ringrose on bass, whilst Janne Saksa performs piano. Overall, demonstrating nothing short of instrumental mastery.
