Drawing us in with a choral synth and a cerebral rock energy, expanding into Izzy T‘s signature sound punctuated with smashing glass, Izzy T opens Say Hello To My Violence with cinematic drama and intrigue.
The opus evolves with the lyrics, “I learned how to crawl with your feet crushing my hands, I learned how to shout with your hands around my neck, I grow taller than the walls that you built around…” – raw, vulnerable, and a high emotional quotient leading us to the hook, “Made a monster out of me, but I was born to be free, yeah… You don’t even wanna try this, say hello to my violence…”
Say Hello To My Violence is a striking continuation of Izzy T‘s uncompromising artistic voice; this time rooted as much in personal identity as in political urgency. As a British-Iranian artist based in LA, her work has consistently drawn from both feminist resistance and her connection to Iranian heritage, amplifying the struggles faced by women under oppressive systems. Say Hello To My Violence feels like a culmination of those themes, distilled into something both intimate and explosive. The track also serves as an oder to Izzy T‘s Iranian mother.

For the middle eight, the instrumentation pulls back to create a haunting vacuum. It allows Izzy T’s voice to take centre stage as she delivers the ascending ethereal line “I fall to pieces…” detailed choral ad-libs, and her vocal shifts from defiance to vulnerability, truly showcasing her epic range – a contrast to the song’s otherwise confrontational tone.
Izzy T has spoken about how her Persian heritage, particularly the lived realities of Iranian women, has shaped her identity and sense of resistance . In that context, “I fall to pieces…” lands less like a personal confession and more like a collective echo.
For over 40 years, Iranian women have faced systemic oppression, a reality that has sparked repeated waves of protest and resistance. Izzy T’s music has already aligned itself with movements calling for liberation and equality, including activism connected to Iranian protests, and Say Hello To My Violence feels like an epic culmination of this.
Izzy T will be performing at LOUD WOMEN Festival in Brooklyn, New York on May 16! We have added Say Hello To My Violence to our New Music Spotlight playlist and our TIMELESS playlist!
