We previously featured Drew Williams when he tapped into notions of timeless R&B with his emotive and personal debut single, On This Day, so when we heard that Drew was back with She’s a Super Woman, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to immerse ourselves in his sonic universe once again.
She’s a Super Woman opens with finger clicks and a sublime guitar performance before Drew Williams shares the lyrics, “She wakes up before the sun even starts to come, checking on her empire, never wasting a second of time…”
We are immediately enthralled by the narrative and the empowering sentiment of what Drew is sharing. He paints a vivid picture of an entrepreneurial woman, “the architect of every single move she’s ever made.”
It is refreshing to hear this from a man in 2026, in the face of a rise in misogyny and the “manosphere”. Drew is showing us what real masculinity is – supportive, uplifting and protective. He also shows us how motivating and multidimensional women can truly be. His muse is self-made, in control, wealthy and the perfect woman for Drew!
Speaking on the release, Drew confesses, “My dad actually came up with the song randomly and I loved the concept behind it so I got in the studio and put the pieces together to make this. I really enjoyed it. I kinda use it as a challenge to write or make something amazing that I haven’t done. So the credit goes to him and his creativity.”
The vocally gifted artist adds, “It’s an inspiring song that’s uplifting and showing appreciation to the hard working women out here.” There is no doubt that the song would be perfect for a TV show like All’s Fair with Kim Kardashian, or Scandal.
