Drawing us with a vibrant guitar soundscape and textured drums, Every Other Weekend opens Come Back (When You Feel Like) with dynamism and the introspective lyrics, “Sometime you might figure out all the answer to the questions hovering in the back of your mind…”
We immediately connect with the philosophical depth that manifests, and the vocal delivery that reminds us of Placebo and even Bob Dylan to some extent. The track is laced with poetic prowess and intentional wisdom with a warm and inviting message.
In essence, we learn that artist Chris Bull has re-emerged as a self-realized entity – reclaiming a part of himself that he long left dormant. Under the new moniker Every Other Weekend, Chris has delivered a track that feels expansive and cinematic.

There is no doubt that Come Back (When You Feel Like) is perfect for a range of sync deals, perhaps a coming of age movie like Incoming. Chris confesses, “Really it is a kind of a hymn to self-forgiveness. It was a reminder that self-expression and the things that bring us joy never leave us. And if we have to put them down from time to time to give ourselves space to deal with the challenges life throws at all of us, that’s ok too.”
As for its production, the track is an indie-rock slow-burn that was forged in the most personal of spaces: Chris’s mother’s garage, using his late father’s old recording equipment! This authenticity shines through in its production, and we deeply connect with the emotional catharsis that transmutes.
Naturally, we are in awe, and have added Come Back (When You Feel Like) to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Resolution which was released as an acoustic endeavour in 2021!
