Carnival Mind deliver evocative, narrative-based opus with new single, King Of Hearts

We recently featured Carnival Mind when they took us on an introspective trip with their glistening single, 5am, so when we heard that the enigmatic outfit had just released the brand new, King Of Hearts, we couldn’t wait to experience it.

Drawing us in with signature, strummed acoustic guitar, Carnival Mind open King Of Hearts with a timeless energy and a narrative has we experience the lyrics, “It’s going down, busy George Street, Bloody Mary in the marble bar…”

The opus expands into a soft rock meets folk-pop frequency as Carnival Mind take us on a journey through their hyper-reality, through both physicality, mind and spirit.

We appreciate the layered power pop vocals and luscious harmonies that dimensionalise the composition, and it is clear that Carnival Mind understand their brand, both visually and sonically. The instrumental performances on King Of Hearts are simply out-of-this-world, and allow the mysterious front-person of the band to showcase their charisma and charm.

We love the message and the trip that they are taking us on, laced with intrigue and subversion, and have added King Of Hearts to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Carnival Mind‘s wider discography including Love Will Take Us There, Shots and Remember.
