We recently featured Audren as she took us on a consciously empowering trip with the dreamy and intentional single, The Good Road, so when we found out that Audren had also released A New Page, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.
Drawing us in with an intricate acoustic guitar soundscape with a pulsating energy, Audren opens A New Page with descriptive prose as she paints a vivid universe with the words, “Over the willows, the clouds are dancing, over the meadows, the birds are singing over and over again…”
The opus expands with a luscious string arrangement as Audren shares a message of renewal and emotional healing. Essentially, the song shows us nature as symbols of peace and rebirth. These images reflect Audren’s desire to let go of pain and start over. This feels unique to her own experience, but also expansive and a clearly universal message, reminding us of the great beauty of planet Earth and how we have the chance to manifest protopia.
The lyrics express longing for courage and warmth. The metaphor of “a new page” represents a fresh start, whilst the “warm hand” symbolizes love and kindness that make life feel sacred and safe again. Audren wishes to expand a world filled with that same gentle comfort.
Ultimately, A New Page carries a message of hope and unity. When love’s light shines, burdens fade, and life feels lighter. It is about finding strength in love, finding courage in vulnerability, and finding peace in new beginnings.
We appreciate Audren‘s gentle and conscious approach through her delicate and cinematic music, textured with sublime echoes, orchestral and spiritual vibes and stunning guitar and strings interlude which feels magical.
Produced with her partner, jazz guitarist Chris Rime, and featuring orchestral arrangements performed by over seventy musicians, A New Page radiates warmth and emotional depth. Their daughter Jemily also plays fretless bass, adding a personal, homegrown touch to the luminous first single from Audren’s upcoming album Think Freedom, which is out later this month.
