Blueprint Tokyo release metaphorical and profound new single, Say Anything

Setting the tone with an 80s new wave energy, Blueprint Tokyo open Say Anything with intricate sound design, a dimensional energy and atmospheric vocals singing, “Play your part in this amusement park, afraid in the dark, what do you see, we’ll keep the fire going, we’ll keep the fire, don’t go alone…”

The opus expands into a dreamy, indie, synth pop vibe with conceptual lyricism and poetic prowess. We appreciate the depth that the duo from Oklahoma City share as they convey their emotions through smart and metaphorical lyricism.

Say Anything is laced with exquisite sonic detailing, we love the glistening synths, the industrial bass line and the charismatic vocal performance, as Blueprint Tokyo deliver the moody lyrics, “Scary movies scaring people, who is waiting in the shadows?”

We learn that Blueprint Tokyo is comprised of duo, Andy and Kevin. The rising pair have been playing across the United States for years. Kevin was diagnosed with a degenerative bone disease on the brink of full-time musicians, forcing him to stop. Without insurance, his diagnosis and treatment eventually came through charities, personal debt, and benefits. Now healthy, the duo has restarted their musical journey.

We love the immersive nature of the production and how their dynamic sound fuses cohesively with their vocals to create a luscious and enigmatic tapestry. The conceptual lyrics add depth to the piece, whilst soaring vocals grab our attention and spirit.

We have added Blueprint Tokyo‘s Say Anything to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream their wider discography including Panic Carefully and A Whole New Life.
