Known for the smash hit, Pick a Seat (Deathrow Edit), rising producer Docx has just released their brand new studio album, THE GURLS, packed to the brim with iconic collaborators!
Speaking on the release of the high impact record, Docx, who is based in Madison, Wisconsin, confesses, “Ever since I heard Clarity by Zedd back in 2012, it’s been a huge goal of mind to produce an album full of collaborations… with this project I teamed up with my FAVORITE artists to do just that, and we’ve created a masterpiece here.”
THE GURLS features NEO 10Y on the album’s opening track, GODDEXXX, sampling the star’s recent single GODDEX, with empowering and meditative opening prose from the spiritual revolutionary reminding us that we are indeed the universe. NEO 10Y posted to his Instagram page, “We sampled GODDEX and added some high vibrational, super conscious, spoken word for the intro track of the insanely talented Docx‘s new album!”
We cannot get enough of BIG PHARMA‘s presence on the record, as well as Mariko Miziyaki who is featured on three tracks in total. The overarching journey of the record feels self-realized with a multitude of viewpoints, giving transcendental empowerment, depth and poetic prowess with fierce and dimensional production.
Luh Kunt, Inca Galore, Mattela, Dexonia, Papi Sabor, Itgirl, Djor, Amina Banks, QuaDaDonn, and nineishuman all bring their unique energies to the album, and needless to say, we are in awe!
