Birdeatsbaby share evocative title track and awe-inspiring visual from their upcoming album, HEX

As huge fans of Birdeatsbaby, having previously featured their cinematic music video for Ribbons, and the transcendental and profound, Illuminate, we couldn’t wait to experience HEX – the title track of their upcoming record!

Drawing us in with a dimensional, rolling bass line and bold drums with synthetic and psychedelic nuance, Birdeatsbaby open HEX with chant-like, atmospheric vocals and metaphorical prose, needless to say, we are in awe.

The opus expands with fierce electric guitars and syncopated nuance to take us on a poetic journey, once again showcasing the transcendental edge that the band convey so well. We learn that HEX is “inspired by demonic texts such as the Ars Goetia”, and the main vocals are delivered by Mishkin Fitzgerald who showcases an insatiable range!

Naturally, HEX comes with an epic music video with hypnotizing performances from the band. We love the cinematic nature, and the juxtaposition of raw nature versus the designed universe of Birdeatsbaby! The outfits are incredible, and the visual really invites the choral vocals to be platformed.

To great acclaim, one of Birdeatsbaby‘s songs was featured in Close to Me – the hit Channel 4 thriller starring Connie Nielson and Christopher Eccleston.

We love what the band are delivering, and have added HEX to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream their wider discography, and anticipate the new album in full!
