Dax shares his soul on his “most important” song to date, To Be A Man

As huge fans of Dax, who is an undisputed star in his own right, we couldn’t wait to experience his latest release, To Be A Man, having previously featured his songs and videos including The Devil’s Calling, PTSD, Depression, Searching For A Reason, and Dear Alcohol!

“I can’t hide myself, I don’t expect you to understand, I just hope I can explain, what it’s like to be a man…. it’s a lonely road, and they don’t care about what you know, it’s not about how you feel, but what you provide inside that home…” opens Dax with atmospheric vocals, immersive keys and astral frequencies, needless to say we are in awe of his performance and message!

The opus expands with emotional depth and poetic prowess to take us on a personal journey about Dax‘s lived experience as a man, and the wider male experience as a whole. Speaking on the release, Dax simply says, “This song is about being a man and what that entails. [It] is the most important song, personally, that I’ve ever made.”

We deeply connect with the overarching message of the song, and the cinematic accompanying visual, which was filmed in Salina, Kansas. The music video sees Dax alongside actors bringing to life the emotional depth of the composition.

Dax continues, “To Be A Man is a song I poured my heart into. I’m praying this reaches everyone who needs it. I believe in this one. I’m excited to go to war with this one and watch it spread and create healthy conversation. I promise to continue to put my all into creating pieces of work we can all be proud of and carry throughout life.”

We love the intentional depth that Dax creates with, and have added To Be A Man to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the visionary artist’s wider discography!
