Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends teams up with David Myhr on emotive new loneliness anthem, Some Angels Never Learn To Fly

Last year, we had the honour of featuring Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends for the emotional and existential, By Your Bed, and the evocative, No Sweet Dreams, so when we heard that they had just released Some Angels Never Learn To Fly, we couldn’t wait to experience it and feed back.

Drawing us in with a textured, soft rock, guitar soundscape, Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends opens Some Angels Never Learn To Fly with situational prose as he zones into his first muse and sings, “She lives on Lonely Hearts’ Street, she really loves her balcony, where she can feel the city heart beat, light a fag and feel a bit free, see the car-lights flash beneath her feet…”

We can always count on the Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends, also known as artist Arne Floryd to share poetic prowess with his prose. We learn that the vocals are also performed with David Myhr of The Merrymakers, who is a long time co-producer of Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends‘s wider body of work. The pair work together incredibly, and take us on a journey as they recount tales of loneliness and how people “live their lives in silence.”

It’s a really relatable theme, and certainly has us in our feels with the nostalgic and timeless soundscape, with luscious power pop harmonies that really add emotional depth to the song.

We love Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends‘s brand of storytelling and have added Some Angels Never Learn To Fly to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of the talented star, and await the upcoming album!
