By now you might have recognised that we deeply appreciate the authenticity and charisma of rising artist Jade Moede, so when we learnt that he was kicking off 2023 with the release of Enjoy The Ride, we simply had to listen and feed back.
Evoking a sense of nostalgia with strummed guitar, Jade Moede opens the opus with his distinguishable vocal timbre and situational prose. We always love the depth that Jade conveys when speaking on his art, so when we asked about the inspiration for the song, we knew the response would be out of this world.
The talented star confesses, “The event that took place: I was recording a musical sketch, singing and playing guitar and kick drum simultaneously, raw and authentic. Subconsciously the story of sometimes not getting what you want, when you’ve been working for your entire life, is turned down by a musical manager with big credit bands. Remembering all the great times of the climb, smiling and just realizing “Enjoying The Ride” is the golden dream.”
He continues with depth, “The raw emotion of the vocal rips to the heart of authenticity and the sparse instrumentation of having truly the voice of the vocal shine to the heart of the listener. Ruff around the edge, yet with a fun and very visual aspect of a journey ride, everyone can relate to. The throat type of emotion of say a Tom Waits, or ACDC vocal delivery, could be what I was reaching for.”
We can certainly feel the references come to light, but what Jade Moede creates is highly unique and somewhat incomparable. We love the poetic prowess and nuanced narratives, the subversive undertones and the unabashed rawness.
