Steve Pointmeier releases authentic and intricate new single, Incendiary

Last year, we had the pleasure of featuring Steve Pointmeier as he made a comeback with his immersive single, Sway and when he took us on a narrative-based journey with the vibrant, Even In A Bar. When we heard that he had just released the brand new Incendiary, we couldn’t wait to listen!

Immersing us with an elegant and refined country soundscape, with luscious and dimensional guitars, Steve Pointmeier opens Incendiary with his signature energy and distinguished vocal timbre as he shares the situational prose, “You don’t have to be my lover, just go love the other… You don’t have to tell him lies no more, just go get on with your life…”

We can always count on Steve Pointmeier to share an evocative narrative, and Incendiary is no exception, as he delivers vulnerability and a relatable nature with the lyricism of the opus.

We learn that the song itself was written by Steve after a love affair that saw Steve go to prison for five years, hence the incredible authenticity that the track exudes.

Performing on the track, we have Steve Pointmeier, naturally on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Chad Melchert on drums, Murray Pulver on lead guitar, and John Baron on bass. Speaking on his creative troupe, Steve says, “This is by far the best band to record my music. I am proud of the work they do with my music.” The song was recorded at Bart McKay Studios in Saskatoon, whilst Bart McKay and Steve produced the sound, along with the band members named above.

We love the echoes that add depth to the opus, and the mix is simply out of this world. This marks Steve’s seventh release to country radio, and he has been gigging regularly with shows at Big Valley Jamboree (Alberta), Nashville North Tent (Calgary Stampede), The Ranchmans and Cook County Saloon (Alberta), Dog Patch Music Festival (Saskatchewan), and Global TV ran a special on Steve a couple of years ago!

The profound and moving Incendiary has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Steve Pointmeier‘s wider discography including Rowdy On, Sway and Cold Beer Calling My Name.
