Steve Pointmeier takes us on a narrative-based journey with vibrant new single, Even In A Bar

We recently featured the talented Steve Pointmeier for his comeback single, Sway, so we couldn’t wait to hear the rising artist’s latest release, Even In A Bar!

Drawing us in with dynamic electric guitar and a classic rock meets Americana energy with intricate and textured drums, Steve opens Even In A Bar with the situational lyrics, “She walked in, ordered up couple on the rocks, dropping dollar in the juke box…”

The opus expands to deliver a narrative-driven experience, as Steve tells the story of a woman who gets cheated on, and gets revenge by heading to the local bar.

We appreciate the poetic prowess that Steve Pointmeier and the charm of his flow, as well as his vivid brand of storytelling as he sings the ear worm of a hook, “She’s just getting even in a bar…”

The guitar solo with the subtle “woo” is luscious and hypnotizing and we love the final reprise and finale of the track too. Creating this classic Americana energy for the modern day is no easy feat, but we love what Steve Pointmeier is showcasing with his artistry.

Living most of his life in Calgary, Alberta, loving all things country, we learn that the Sarnia born artist has utilized music as his anchor to weather the many storms of life.

His passion for music has always been his compass for living. Steve’s song writing speaks to universal truths and heart felt emotions of every day Canadian life.

Even In A Bar has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Steve Pointmeier‘s wider discography including Sway and Rowdy On.
