Taking us on a rebellious alternative rock adventure, we have been streaming Nevermore, the rather epic debut single by Rayka Blake.
The song itself is pretty transformative and Rayka‘s performance is emotive, where delivers profound lyrics fused with exceptional guitar work.
We love the melodies, the juxtaposed nature of the performance and lyricism and the depth of the message.
Speaking on her creative process in a caption posted to Instagram, Rayka, who composed the song on electric guitar says, “I wrote it with the intention of conveying an important message: stop the violence, make your voice heard, and rebel against those who make you vulnerable. It’s a song of rebellion against all kinds of physical and psychological violence. It’s a cry of hope for those who are suffering, a call to action to find the strength and courage to rebel, to be reborn, and build a better future.”
Nevermore is the first song Rayka released with Top Records Label (Milan), which is produced by Pietro Foresti. She is currently working on my first EP which will be out soon.
