Setting the mood with a cerebral ad-lib, compressed vocals and a delicate electric guitar soundscape, Popkanon, RarriQUESO and Jack Flash open More to Give with introspection and warmth as we are taken on a journey of self-reflection that gradually opens into something much more euphoric and life-affirming.
We appreciate the build of the soundscape with textured drums, string chops and intricate percussion pushing the song towards a much bigger Scandinavian pop/EDM sensibility. We can hear echoes of Avicii and Kygo, whilst the vocal approach brings a more contemporary pop sensibility to the mix with a direct reference from the creators to Justin Bieber’s singing technique.
The message is simple but effective. After difficult life events, do we really have more to give? The answer here is an emphatic yes. More to Give is about refusing to become defined by negativity. It is about taking chances, learning new things and remaining open to whatever might be waiting around the next corner. The message feels zeitgeist and something we all need to experience, now more than ever, considering the state of reality and our collective mental health struggles.

The delicate instrumental switch-up for the finale with astral tones and stripped-back psychedelic guitar gives the track an undeniable uniqueness and cinematic quality. We could imagine it being featured in a TV show like Nine Perfect Strangers, Knokke Off, or perhaps a movie like Voicemails from Isabelle.
As the track progresses, the collaboration between the three contributors becomes increasingly apparent. RarriQUESO brings a distinctive Latin influence to the song, whilst Chicago-based producer Jack Flash introduces the synth textures and blends the later, more expansive section with the strings and instrumentation established earlier.
Needless to say, we love the sentiment. Life is short, there are places to see, people to meet and experiences still waiting to happen. More to Give is a positive reminder to keep moving, stay curious and believe that the best chapters might still be ahead. We have added More to Give to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we continue to stream the wider discographies of all of the artists.
