We are immediately captivated by the cinematic aura of the track and GlowDriver‘s sensual yet subversive energy. The track evolves with glitched vocals into a dark-dance-pop vibe with an absolutely captivating hook. We could imagine this landing a sync placement in a TV show like Euphoria or Elite. It would also work really well in a film like Anora, Obsession or a Ryan Murphy production.
On the message of the song, GlowDriver philosophically shares, “Those craving verbal affection can be misunderstood as seeking attention, but I’ve come to understand that this is often how they feel valued in a relationship. Tell Me gives a voice to that vulnerability, turning a deep need for connection into an anthem for the dancefloor.”
The song is essentially about wanting to hear that someone loves you. It is super relatable, and although the production itself is pretty badass, there is a vulnerability at play here. Tell Me explores a need for reassurance in a relationship that we all have experienced. It really shows how we all contain multitudes.
On a musical niveau, Tell Me fuses driving basslines with saturated synths and glitched vocals at 123 BPM – it has enough energy for the dancefloor whilst still retaining a high emotional quotient.
