Establishing the mood with cerebral, down-pitched ad-libs of the title of the track with affirmative vocalizations, Junonuno open the DJ Juno Mix of I Want It with subversive notions. The opus expands with a dimensional dance-synth performance as we are drawn into a fierce yet ethereal universe.
We appreciate the dynamics of the track and the escapist and hedonistic motifs. There are nods to iconic house tracks that have formed the history of the genre, at the same time as tapping into a contemporary frequency. The siren-like risers create an otherworldly energy whilst the high-octane beat provides a super danceable canvas.
There is no doubt that the DJ Juno Mix of I Want It holds a cinematic allure, and we could imagine this featuring in an episode of Heated Rivalry, or a film like the recent Amazon Prime hit, Drawn Together. There are also sci-fi elements that would make it a good fit for a Luc Besson film like Lucy.

Junonuno have released the track fresh from playing the Main Stage at Nowadaze Festival. The Bristol-based duo share how they wanted to offer a club-focused alternative to their original 2025 track (check out the video below). Formed in 2024, Junonuno combine DJ Juno’s 90s house-inspired production with Nuno’s catchy, pop-adjacent lyricism. Their debut album, Eerste, established their distinctive sound, whilst their evolving live show now blends DJ sets with live vocals, bass and drums.
The new single arrives ahead of Junonuno’s second album, due in early 2027. Needless to say, we love their vibes, and have added the DJ Juno Mix of I Want It to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we stream the original version and the pair’s wider discography, including Pimp and Feeling Good.
