We connect with the spacey nature of the track and the poetic prowess that manifests.
The production is sublime with brooding, industrial interludes between the prose. There is a haunting, cinematic allure, perfect for a futuristic movie like Lucy or Limitless. We could also imagine this being featured in a TV show like Black Mirror or Gen V. The 80s adjacent trip-pop interlude adds dynamism to the already hypnotic piece before a thoughtful vocal reprise.
In essence, Fading Echoes explores notions of loss, memory and emotional isolation. It is designed to create the feeling of being caught between what has been lost and what refuses to disappear. The lyrical imagery gives the composition a particularly visual quality, whilst the recurring idea of “chasing the ghosts far away” poignantly captures the difficulty of letting go.
For some context, Music of Synergia is the cinematic side project of Valerian Steel, the artist and producer behind Manufracture Music. Whilst that project explores analogue sound and hardware-driven production, Music of Synergia moves towards darker, more atmospheric territory. On the record, Lyz‘s vocal performance is sublime, and we learn that the collaboration continues a relationship between Lyz and Music of Synergia, following previous tracks including Nightshift and Weight of Dawn.
The track is also accompanied by a visualizer video translating its fractal geometry into dynamic, evolving imagery.
