Speaking on the inspirations for this release, Troy Landon confesses, “My songwriting and creative direction have been influenced by many of the country artists I’ve listened to over the years, including Johnny Cash, Travis Tritt, Kenny Rogers, Clint Black, Aaron Tippin, Sammy Kershaw, Collin Raye, Merle Haggard, and many others. What has always stood out to me about these artists is their ability to tell meaningful stories through songs that feel honest, relatable, and grounded in real human experiences.” We can absolutely feel these come to life, and appreciate the contemporary mix for a song inspired by such classic legends.
On his message, Troy adds, “Climb That Mountain grew from a simple philosophy I strongly believe in: life is going to put mountains in front of all of us, and sometimes the only thing we can control is whether we keep climbing. Everyone faces struggles, setbacks, loss, doubt, or moments when the road ahead seems almost impossible, and I wanted to write a song that could speak to people going through those moments.”
