Establishing the mood with a sublime saxophone and textured percussion with rhythm guitar, CroonerEd opens A Better Man with his signature optimistic timbre and the situational prose, “You’ve got me singing a song, you’ve got me dancing along, you’ve got me walking on air, I’m even combing my hair, you’ve got me making new rhymes… you’ve got me thinking anew, I’m even shining my shoes…”
Immediately we connect with the inspiring themes behind the concept of the track. The concept is relatable and timeless – essentially a man who finds love and is inspired to be “a better man” by proxy. The result is increased levels of awareness, looksmaxxing, stylemaxxing and the spiritual feeling of walking on air.
The production is exquisite as always, and we could imagine this being featured in a film like the recent Netflix hit, Voicenotes for Isabelle, which certainly taps into similar themes with the male protagonist, Wes.

Speaking on the release, Eddie tells us, “This song came straight from the heart. When I met the woman who would soon become my wife, I thought of the line ‘You make me want to be a better man’ from As Good As It Gets. That’s exactly how I felt and suddenly the little things in life felt meaningful. I hope listeners feel that same spark of joy and motivation when they hear it.”
Overall, A Better Man comes across as a warm and optimistic love song. It poignantly highlights personal growth, gratitude, and the positive influence that a loving partner can have on someone’s life. It’s certainly a song that Gen Z manosphere types could do with listening to, and help to make society a better place for all genders.
