Establishing the mood with astral synth arpeggios, subtle hardpans, brooding immersive frequencies and astral textures, Moon and Aries open High Noon with zen and dimensionality. The opus expands with a cosmic saxophone performance and a tropical energy before we experience Jordana Moon‘s sublime vocals.
High Noon‘s lyrics feel conceptual yet narrative-driven, laced with poetic prowess and raw vulnerability. According to the band, the song serves as “a cinematic desert dream inspired by themes of transformation, truth, and stepping into the light.” It invites us to come out of hiding, to be ourselves and tap into notions of self-realization as Jordana sings, “Time’s right, I’m coming out of hiding, I’m so high…”
There is an unmistakable trip-hop vibe that manifests, perfect for fans of Portishead, Sade, Zero 7, and Morcheeba. We love the cohesive tapestry of sound, and also learn that Tom Aries and Jordana are joined by Peter J. Mitchell on guitar, and Hanna Marchand (Joko Magic) on saxophone. Peter’s outro is simply out of this world, and the warm and exotic tones are reflected in the accompanying artwork for the song.
Overall, High Noon is an ethereal call-to-action to remind us to be at one with the universe, accept our destiny and shine bright, on a “high” vibrational frequency, despite everything that is going on with society as a whole. In that sense, it feels truly zeitgeist, and an important message that we all need.

We could imagine the song playing poolside on the roof of Petit Ermitage in West Hollywood, where sun-soaked, psychedelic songs of this nature often find their home. The cinematic allure would also make it perfect for a scene in a Sofia Coppola film.
Prairie Souls is the name of this new chapter in Moon and Aries’ evolving journey. It is designed to weave together landscapes, quiet moments of reflection, and emotional storytelling into a deeply transformative five-song EP, arriving in November 2026.
In the meantime, we have added High Noon to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the exquisite, growing discography of Moon and Aries, and anticipate the release of Prairie Souls!
