We previously featured JK Jerome for crafting a powerful meditation on class, humanity and resilience with his single, Profanity, so when we heard that the rising artist was back with Any Moment Now, poignantly released in the wake of the new moon, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.
Any Moment Now opens with an intricate guitar soundscape, cohesively intertwined, before JK Jerome shares the introspective prose, “Grasping at sky, a love below, feel my body drawn, I’m falling down, woken from sleep, I gaze at your face, know I have to leave, any moment now… calling out I cannot believe this is really happening…”
The opus expands with sublime vocal harmonies and a textured, spiritual drum performance as JK continues, “You said you need time away to remind you of why we fell in love, I know it’s the only way to go, from here is a track that leads the way, and it’s mine alone…”
We deeply connect with the raw authenticity that the artist exudes, and his captivating, honest timbre. The cinematic vibes are again undeniable, and we could imagine this being featured in a Sofia Coppola film or a Luca Guadagnino production.

In essence, we learn that Any Moment Now is about the painful emotional limbo just before a relationship ends. JK taps into the quiet, unspoken space where both people recognise that love has changed, but neither has voiced the final goodbye.
The song poetically explores the tension of holding onto something that is still beautiful, but already fading. It’s brilliantly written and the production is intimate which is a perfect reflection of the message. The fact that it was released on the Gemini new moon feels cathartic, like a new beginning, so bravo to JK Jerome for that alignment.
We have added Any Moment Now to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Profanity, and await future releases from JK Jerome.
