Establishing the mood with an acoustic guitar and immersive synthscape featuring soft orchestral strings, Paul Frazer Clarke opens Cloud To Cloud with ethereal vocals and the lyrics, “As I float from cloud to cloud…”. The opus expands with a trip-hop adjacency reminiscent of bands like Zero 7, Morcheeba, Air and Portishead.
We appreciate the journey that we are being taken on and the celestial and psychedelic vibes that manifest. We could imagine the track being played poolside on the rooftop of Petit Ermitage in West Hollywood, where songs of this energy often find their home.
There is an undeniable cinematic allure that comes to life, and Cloud To Cloud would be ideal for a sync placement in a Sofia Coppola or Luca Guadagnino production. We learn that the vocals are performed by Tara Pasveer from The Hague.
Speaking on their remote collaboration, Paul confesses, “I’d been searching for a voice with Tara’s distinct quality for a long time. When I found her work I knew immediately. Where she lives on the planet was never a consideration – the music leads, everything else follows.”

Elaborating on the narrative of the release, Paul says, “The track follows the spirit of someone who moves through life unburdened by expectation: floating freely, answering only to themselves. Not a love song exactly, though love gets a quiet mention. More an emotional state than a story – warm, unanchored, and entirely at peace with that.”
The visionary Australian producer also shares that Cloud To Cloud serves as the opening track from Five Coordinates – a five-part EP series featuring five international collaborators, one per track, released quarterly across 2026.
Needless to say, we are in awe, and cannot wait to hear more from this project. In the meantime, we have added Cloud To Cloud to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TRIPPY playlist, whilst we continue to stream Paul Frazer Clarke‘s wider discography, including People and Places, Trial By Fire, and It’s Not Alight It’s Not OK.
