Our obsession with See How seems to grow with every listen. We last featured the visionary artist and his conscious brand of experimental artistry for the intentional and dimensional single, My Religion, so when we heard that See How was back with Kick It, we couldn’t wait to listen.
Kick It opens with a super dimensional energy – uplifting and empowering with an atmospheric ad-lib of the title of the track. The production reminds us of We No Speak Americano by Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP. There is a playful, global feel that manifests.
We could imagine the track in a sync placement for a massive football campaign. The astral vocals invite us to remember who we are. This feels spiritual, like a reminder for us to connect with our ultimate selves.
As always with See How’s composition, there is a deep-rooted intricacy, and we appreciate the dynamics. Naturally, the track feels highly timely, aligned with the World Cup. On the track’s clarity, See How says, “I wanted this one to feel immediate. Less about explaining something, more about interrupting the loop, even briefly.”
Kick It arrives with the announcement of See How’s debut album, Amusing Ourselves To Death, a nine-track project due on 18 September. The rising artist tells us that the album is set to explore modern life, technology, and distraction.

Following the more reflective My Religion, we connect with the energetic juxtaposition of Kick It, which brings to life a brighter, more vibrant approach, blending warm synths, layered samples, and chopped vocals into an immersive electronic sound inspired by artists such as Jamie xx, Joy Anonymous, and Barry Can’t Swim.
Built around the inspiring refrain “you know who you are / and you’ve come this far”, the track combines nostalgia, movement and optimism. It offers a feeling of freedom, self-belief, and living in the moment, instead of getting caught up in the routines and distractions of modern life. This is a message that we need now more than ever!
We have added Kick It to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of See How, and anticipate the release of Amusing Ourselves To Death later this year.
