Drawing us in with a meditative soundscape and the sound of crickets, Kat Kikta opens Dreamer with ethereal vocals and a cinematic allure as she questions, “What you doing in my dreams?”. We are enthralled by the energy that the track exudes and Kat’s whimsical prose, as she takes us on an introspective journey.
There is no doubt that Dreamer would be perfect for a multitude of sync placements. It feels perfect for an episode of Euphoria on HBO, in a dream sequence with Jules perhaps, or a Sofia Coppola film. The spoken word verses are literal and grounding, and feel zeitgeist and contemporary, rooted in raw authenticity. These are intertwined with a more celestial delivery for the choruses and a transcendental, trip-hop build.
The production is exquisite, and the song comes with an epic music video which sees Kat in her home, going on an adventure, to the beach, into the sea, on the London underground and beyond.
On the concept, Kat shares, “A persistent entity troubles the dreamer who awakes and tries to make peace with the trespassing projection. Perhaps she is talking in her sleep.”

The video for Dreamer has already received notable recognition on the international film festival circuit. It won the Award Winner title for Best Film at the Golden Lion International Film Festival (GLIFF) 2026. In addition to this major win, it was also selected as an Official Selection at the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival 2027 and the East Village New York Film Festival 2026. This is truly groundbreaking work before the launch of the single. Our minds are blown! Kat Kikta truly is the manifestor of her own destiny.
We learn that Dreamer is the last single before the release of Kat Kikta‘s debut album Moldavite, and naturally, we cannot wait to experience it. In the meantime, we have added Dreamer to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Kat Kikta, and anticipate future releases.
