Establishing the mood with a meditative synth and an 8-bit tropical melodic riff, DJ Cards opens Saltwater Days with dimensionality and a pristine pop vocalization of the title of the track. The piece expands with percussive clicks, and a feel-good energy as we are invited into a sun-drenched reality.
The lyrics paint a picture of a timeless adventure by the beach, our hearts moving with the tide and our skin soaked in sunlight and sea water. We could imagine this being featured as sync placement in a film like People We Meet on Vacation, or perhaps an episode of My Life with the Walter Boys.
DJ Cards has been on a dedicated release schedule, and we have had the honour of featuring a slew of his previous singles, each one with their own unique concept and all of them sync placement friendly.

Speaking on the release, the visionary lawyer and music producer tells us, “Saltwater Days is about capturing a feeling. That moment when the sun starts dropping over the ocean, the air changes, and everything feels lighter for a while.”
Inspired by the Jersey Shore, the track is perfect to experience on vacation, and we love the glitched vocal design and the echoing sound design. The build is naturally euphoric, aligned with DJ Cards‘ wider discography, and we are left feeling uplifted and aligned with its high-vibrational energy.
We also learn that DJ Cards is currently in an artist development and co-management partnership with Goathead Records in Los Angeles. Needless to say, we are excited to hear what comes next, and have added the euphoric new single to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream DJ Cards‘ wider discography, including Lose It in the Lights, Driving, and Between the Lines.
