Classical Violence blurs fantasy and longing on epic and dimensional debut opus, Little Star’s Dream

Drawing us in with an orchestral strings arrangement with a high emotional quotient featuring a fusion of arco and pizzicato, Classical Violence opens Little Star’s Dream with cosmic nuance and cinematic intrigue.

Accompanied by an expressive piano performance, we experience dramatic vocals from Sarah Sangfeldt with the lyrics, “Times I can’t return to the past of my life, I can’t go back in time, bright star, it’s just a fantasy…”. We are immediately enthralled by the concept of the song and the mysterious energy that transmutes.

There is philosophical depth at play here, and we could imagine the track being featured in a poignant scene of a Sofia Coppola or Luca Guadagnino production. There is also a James Bond 007 vibe that comes to life.

The build of the track with a fierce electric guitar performance by Italian guitarist Davide Rinaldi is rather epic, adding to the grandeur of the piece and manifesting with dimensionality and dynamism. The guitar solo is transcendental, cementing the otherworldly energy of the track.

This leads us to a stripped-back piano and vocal moment, allowing for introspection before another build, leading to an ethereal segue and mind-bending guitar performance for the finale.

Speaking on the concept of the release, Classical Violence simply says, “I personified a little star and wrote lyrics about unattainable love. No one has influenced me. I have always strived to create the best songs.”

Needless to say, we agree. Little Star’s Dream is a truly expansive and innovative work of art, and we have added the track to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TRIPPY and TIMELESS playlists, whilst we anticipate future releases from Classical Violence.
