Drawing us in with an emotive piano performance, orchestral strings and astral flute details, Kaitlin Corbett Jones opens Make The World Stand Still with poetic prowess and intimacy as she shares the words, “Why do I want to remember, and why do I want to forget you, and why is life so complicated, feels like I’m still waiting on you, honestly, I find myself looking back at how it used to be…”
We immediately connect with the raw authenticity and the relatable nature of what Kaitlin is sharing, especially the concept of the hook. The build of the track is almost theatrical, something that we could imagine in a production of Wicked or a Disney movie.
Kaitlin’s soaring vocals and the guitar solo are sublime, transcendental, building into a choral climax before an emotive and stripped-back breakdown for the finale. Fans of Whitney Houston would absolutely be able to connect with what the rising star is creating.
We learn that Kaitlin Corbett Jones is a classically trained vocalist, which absolutely manifests on Make The World Stand Still. It is no surprise that her five-octave range and commanding stage presence have established her as a rare crossover artist, across opera and contemporary pop.

Originally from Brookfield, Wisconsin, Kaitlin Corbett Jones began formal vocal training at eight years old. Her early foundation included performing with the Chicago Lyric Opera Children’s Ensemble, and by ten, she was performing the National Anthem at major sporting events across Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Arizona.
She later received a full scholarship to the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, studying under Diane Love, while also training with renowned vocal coach Seth Riggs, performance coach Chamber Stevens, Disney casting director Joey Paul Jensen, and vocal coach David Coury. In 2009, she won Arizona Idol on FOX 10.
Needless to say, we are in awe of Make The World Stand Still‘s cinematic allure and powerful connecting ethos, and have added the song to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Kaitlin Corbett Jones‘s growing discography, including Everybody’s Somebody’s Angel.
