laims of looming UFO disclosure are now colliding with faith, as several influential Christian leaders warn that upcoming government revelations about extraterrestrial life could challenge traditional biblical beliefs and leave many believers searching for answers.
Tennessee evangelist, author, and Bible teacher Perry Stone recently claimed that a select group of pastors were invited to a private meeting with U.S. intelligence officials. According to Stone, these officials were preparing religious leaders for the possible release of classified files, videos, and reports involving UFOs, non-human intelligence, and alleged extraterrestrial technology.
Speaking in a YouTube video posted on April 27, Stone said pastors were told about mysterious craft, non-human materials, and even so-called “reptilian” beings, describing the discussion as something that sounded like “a sci-fi movie.”
The warnings come after President Donald Trump reportedly ordered the Pentagon and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in February to release all government-held information related to UFOs and alien life. Trump later stated that the first files would be made public “very, very soon” and would contain “very interesting” information.
Stone believes the disclosure could deeply affect Christianity, especially if the public begins questioning the Bible’s creation story. He warned that some people may see the existence of life beyond Earth as proof that Genesis is a myth, causing them to abandon their faith.
He also claimed officials warned that many non-religious people might panic and turn to churches for spiritual guidance once the information is released.
Bishop Alan DiDio of Revival Nation Church confirmed he attended such a meeting, describing it as a gathering of about six Christian leaders discussing government investigations into alleged retrieval and reverse engineering of technology linked to non-human intelligence. He also suggested there was discussion of a “propaganda plan” surrounding disclosure.
Evangelist and podcaster Tony Merkel echoed those concerns, saying some Christians working within intelligence circles were trying to prepare churches for what is coming. He believes disclosure is being framed in a way that could portray Christians as obstacles to human progress.
For these pastors, UFO disclosure is not just a scientific issue, it is spiritual. They compare it to the “great deception” described in biblical end-times prophecy, warning that believers may be led away from faith in Jesus.
Adding to the debate, Vice President JD Vance has publicly said he does not believe these phenomena are aliens, but “demons.” Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has also pointed to the ancient Book of Enoch, suggesting some modern UFO accounts resemble biblical stories of supernatural beings known as Watchers.
As UFO disclosure moves closer to the mainstream, the debate is becoming larger than politics or science. For many, it is becoming a question of faith itself.
