Known for his “looksmaxxing” content, Hull built a strong following by promoting appearance-focused self-improvement, including jawline enhancement, posture correction, grooming, and facial aesthetics. His audience, mostly young men, followed his advice on achieving what online communities call the “ideal” masculine look.
At just 18 years old, Mason Hull had already established himself as a recognizable figure in the looksmaxxing space on TikTok. Operating under usernames like @hullo and @masonhulll, he sold coaching programs often referred to as the “Hullo Method,” where he taught followers techniques like mewing, neck posture improvement, and facial structure optimization. His content centered around confidence, physical transformation, and social status, helping him gain hundreds of thousands of followers.
However, his image took a serious hit in early May 2026 when allegations surfaced online accusing him of purchasing illegal explicit material involving minors. The controversy began after his ex-girlfriend, known online as Via (@via040301), shared screenshots that allegedly showed Hull messaging sellers asking for illegal content with a budget of “$25 max.” These screenshots quickly spread across TikTok and X, sparking outrage and widespread discussion. The claims remain unverified, but they fuelled major backlash.
The situation escalated further when JiDion, known for confronting alleged predators online, reportedly confronted Hull alongside activist Alex Rosen. Viral clips from the encounter circulated rapidly, with social media users claiming Hull admitted to the accusations during the confrontation. The clips gained millions of views and intensified public criticism, with many viewers turning against the influencer.
Hull later denied the accusations publicly, calling the information “misled” and saying there were “two sides to every story.” He promised to release his own explanation, while his supporters argued that the screenshots could have been fabricated. Still, the damage to his reputation was immediate, and memes mocking the “$25 max” phrase spread across TikTok.
