Drawing us in with a dimensional synthscape and punctuated astral ad-libs intertwined with subtle vocalizations, MOMARZ opens Party Moves with a playful nature and dynamism. The opus expands with textured percussion as we are invited deeper into a melodic and 8-bit-adjacent universe.
We appreciate the hypnotic looped motifs, the humanization of the vocal harmonies and the abundant spirit of the main protagonist synth performance. There is a cinematic allure to the piece, and we could imagine it in a conceptual or psychedelic scene in a TV show like Euphoria, or perhaps a film based around a 90s video game.
The song has an uplifting energy, and MOMARZ says, “I just wanted to make a song that everyone can enjoy and put them in a good mood.” We appreciate this intention, now more than ever, in the face of so much global turmoil. This level of escapism into music feels like what we need.

Party Moves serves as the opening track of MOMARZ‘s record, THE THEORY, which is currently being released in stages, with the full unveil of all 16-tracks on May 28, 2026. We learn that MOMARZ is a Boston-based professional musician who is carving out a space in the electronica scene with his detail-led, hands-on approach to production.
In the face of a rise in AI music, MOMARZ organically crafts every element of his music using GarageBand instead. He builds tracks around piano-rooted melodic structures with percussion sequences performed on his Yamaha P-125 electronic piano, KORG microKEY, and M-VAVE MIDI piano.
We love this authenticity, and have added Party Moves to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TRIPPY playlist, whilst we continue to stream the six already released tracks from THE THEORY, including Beyond Sight, Dynamic Energy, and Signals, and anticipate its full release at the end of May.
