We previously featured zukrassverliebt when they tapped into a high emotional quotient with the warm and optimistic single, Hold Me, so when we found out that the Hamburg, Germany-based duo was back with Nothin’ to say, we were curious and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.
Nothin’ to say opens with an expanding meditative frequency, building into a luscious harmonised vocal with a minimalist soundscape and the lyrics, “I want you to stay, and I only wanna hear you, you have nothing to say, cos of what you’ve been through…”
We are immediately enthralled by the compassionate and comforting nature of the song, and the intricate and sublime sound design. The intention of Nothin’ to say is clear. The duo tells us that the song is about “arguments, silence, and choosing each other despite conflict.”
Fans of Postal Service and MGMT will absolutely be able to connect with the vocals, production and energy that zukrassverliebt deliver. The instrumental interlude is absolutely transcendental, leading us through to the second half of the song.

We could imagine zukrassverliebt locking in sync placements for Nothin’ to say in TV shows like Euphoria on HBO, or perhaps a Luca Guadagnino film. The emotional quotient is once again aligned with their previous release, Hold Me, and we are fully captivated from start to finish. We also connect with the subtle psychedelic notions in the production which tap into an otherworldly sentiment.
Once again, we are absolutely floored by the track’s raw authenticity, and have added Nothin’ to say to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of zukrassverliebt, including Break Out, and Way Too Hot.
