Drawing us in with an intricate and cerebral liquid drum’n’bass beat featuring subtle and soft percussion, britta raci opens the feeling never goes away with innovation and a melodic synth line before sharing the words, “I knew in the back of my mind it was over for me soon after I met you, you were sweet and kind to me, it was something that I never knew, how could you treat me like a human being?”
We immediately connect with britta raci‘s delicate performance and the futuristic astral synths. What she shares feels progressive and invites us to dance, despite the somewhat heavy nature of the lyrics. That said, the rising star’s delivery manifests as philosophical catharsis for both britta raci and the listener.
In essence, the song is about a relationship that felt meaningful and healing, but was also doomed from the start. britta raci recognizes early on that her muse treated her with a level of kindness and respect they weren’t used to, which made the connection feel unreal.
That unfamiliar warmth led her to hope that not everyone is as hurtful as they once believed. There’s an intelligently crafted tension between gratitude and inevitability, as britta can see both the beauty of the connection and the heartbreak that will follow.
As the feeling never goes away continues, it shifts into notions of regret and longing after the relationship ends. She admits to pushing the other person away whilst also acknowledging that ending things may have been the right decision. The hook repeats like a mantra suggesting that love doesn’t fully disappear, it just changes form over time.

The LA-based artist confesses, “I was dating a DJ/music producer who invited me to come meet him halfway through his tour in London, but when I got to London he had already moved on and decided to end things with me. It was extremely painful because I realized I had never given myself enough time to truly move on or process any of my previous relationships, which is why the feeling of heartbreak has never ever gone away. Hence, the title, the feeling never goes away.”
The finale of the track is absolutely sublime, almost other worldly, and we are glad to know that it also comes with an acoustic version which allows britta raci‘s soul and vocals to really shine through. She cites influences including Nia Archives, PinkPantheress, and The Postal Service, which we can feel co-manifest on the track for sure! It would also be perfect for a scene in a TV show like Euphoria on HBO.
Needless to say, we are in awe, and have added the feeling never goes away to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we continue to stream britta raci‘s growing discography, including thanks, my day is ruined, whoa, and embarrassing.
