Speaking on the release, Tales4Songz confesses, “It draws directly from that rock bottom: after years of unrelenting trauma, my body gave out completely. I went from moving freely to my legs refusing to respond, everything heavy and disconnected – no amount of will or effort could bring it back.”
Tales4Songz continues, “Everyday actions like standing or stepping became impossible struggles. I felt trapped in my own body, isolated from the world, pain rooted in every stalled moment and prolonged silence as life moved on around me. The numbness manifested as deep dissociation – a survival quieting of mind and body under overwhelming pressure, detaching me from my physical self and any momentum.”
The artist adds on a philosophical level, “Recovery isn’t seamless – weakness lingers on tough nights, mornings demand resolve, grief remains for lost ease. But the rise is authentic and mine. Soul comes through in emotive vocal runs that expand the feeling, warm melodies balancing pain with hope, a groove that builds and releases tension in classic soul tradition, anchored by hip hop’s direct narrative bars. This release speaks to anyone whose body has betrayed them after accumulated trauma.”
