Drawing us in with a dramatic piano soundscape with cerebral ad-lib vocalizations, Essibee opens Reignited with a personal narrative as he sets the tone for his message with poetic prowess and intentional depth. We are hypnotized by the timeless hip-hop production, the intricacy of the keys, and the subtle beat switch-ups which create a cohesive tapestry of sound for Essibee‘s emotive performance.
Speaking on his message, Essibee confesses, “The main take of the story is being beaten down to the point of worthlessness, rising back up out of the ashes reignited, aflame and luminescent.” We appreciate the raw vulnerability that transmutes, and Essibee‘s cadence with an unmistakably British accent.
There is no doubt that Essibee is creating artistry unto his own design, but he does cite 90s rap and boom bap, specifically that of Cypress Hill and Wu Tang Clan, notably Method Man as sonic influences that come through with his music.

As for his creative process, we learn that Essibee likes to run the track in one take, and start from the top if he runs into any errors. This flow is what makes the track so hypnotic and how it oozes authenticity. The track was created with Law-Ro and Tripplezbeats, and recorded in Leeds.
On a spiritual level, Essibee shares how he is also guided by his mother, along with the angel numbers 3:33 which support his artistic journey. We can also feel the conscious and spiritual depth come through with his prose and the energy that comes to life with his music and the empowering message of Reignited.
Needless to say, we are in awe, and have added Reignited to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Essibee, including Internal Battles, Paranoid Visions, and No Stress.
