We previously featured franxie for her unique brand of self-realized catharsis with her evocative debut single, Fucking Around, so naturally, when we found out that the rising star was back with Nobody’s Home, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.
“I’ve been here before, the darker nights, I can no longer hide, it’s knocking at my door, waiting for me to come home…” sings franxie with sublime choral vocals and an intimate acoustic guitar. The opus once again holds a high emotional quotient and a thought-provoking message.
The poetic notions that franxie delivers are outstanding. We appreciate the metaphorical depth and the raw authenticity that transmutes. We could imagine the track being featured in a TV show like 13 Reasons Why or even Stranger Things on Netflix for a scene that reflects the themes that franxie touches upon.
One of the most interesting parts of the song is the middle eight where franxie bounces off herself vocally as if there are multiple versions of her in the room with us. If you have the chance to listen to Nobody’s Home on headphones, we would absolutely recommend that! The production is out of this world. It might appear stripped-back, but is actually intensely cinematic and intricate.

franxie tells us, “This song is about dissociating when things become overwhelming and recognising that shutting down was a coping mechanism. It’s not about a relationship ending, but about losing and finding yourself within that state.”
We learn that franxie is currently revisiting older songs whilst writing new material. She will be releasing music throughout 2026 and developing an EP that prioritises creative freedom, confidence and growth on her own terms!
In the meantime, we have added Nobody’s Home to our New Music Spotlight playlist and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Fucking Around, and anticipate future releases from franxie!
