Establishing the mood with atmospheric, rising synth arpeggios with cinematic and astral adjacency, Oxiroma opens the Cosmo Symphonic Version of Hug & Hold the Ocean with dimensionality and intrigue.
The opus expands with immersive and meditative textures, and a peaceful high flute riff which taps into a high emotional quotient. We appreciate the cohesive tapestry of sound that is manifesting, and the poetic allure of the composition.
There is no doubt that the Cosmo Symphonic Version of Hug & Hold the Ocean would be perfect for the score of an epic space adventure film, such as Interstellar, Gravity, The Martian, Arrival, and Dune. The emergence of a textured beat adds to the dynamism and flow of the piece, building a higher octane energy before an almost melancholic energy with a sublime strings arrangement once again taps into our heart centre.
Speaking on the composition, Oxiroma says, “Imagine: the endless expanses of space, embodied in the sound of light years – that’s how this music is born. Nostalgic synthwave and cinematic flair – honestly, I’ve never encountered such a symbiosis of styles.”
Oxiroma also dedicates his composition to the zeitgeist by referencing the impending notion of open contact. He confesses, “The world seems to be holding its breath in anticipation of something momentous. Voices are multiplying in the press, hinting that we are on the threshold of an epochal discovery. Mark Christopher Lee claims that first contact with aliens could occur as early as the summer of 2026 – during the World Cup.”
The visionary composer adds, “[Baba] Vanga’s legendary prophecies also speak of an encounter with extraterrestrial intelligence as an event capable of changing the course of history.”
Avid readers will know that we too are excited about open contact, and share this sentiment with Oxiroma, so we deeply appreciate the artist’s ode to the expansive universe with his composition.

We learn that Oxiroma is an author and multidisciplinary artist combining composition, arranging, sound engineering and video editing. Born in 1973, he has been involved in music since the age of 12, beginning as a big band trumpeter and later working extensively in studios since 1998, producing recordings, arrangements, CD releases and live performances for numerous artists.
A laureate of the Sibiriada Composers’ Competition (2024), the A.P. Borodin Competition (2025), and the D.D. Shostakovich Competition (2025), Oxiroma creates music from within a meditative state. He is inspired by Kriya Yoga and inner perception. His work is often described as New Age or Neoclassical, although for him it is simply music, created with sincerity and spirituality, and offered for the sake of music itself.
Needless to say, we are in awe, and have added the Cosmo Symphonic Version of Hug & Hold the Ocean to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Oxiroma, including Alone with the Pianist, and Comprehension – Felt Piano Version.
