Establishing the mood with a sublime and reverberating handpan, RenDaPan opens Equilibrio with a meditative essence that reflects the title of the track. We appreciate the intricacy and spiritual dimensionality that manifests from the track.
There is no doubt that RenDaPan is a master of his art form, creating a cohesive tapestry of sound with nature effects to amplify the energy. RenDaPan confesses, “The background noise from the running stream, wind in the trees and birds singing make this recording unique.” There is a poetic grace to how the talented instrumentalist performs, and we appreciate the high emotional quotient that comes to life with his melodies.
Handpans are often seen as spiritual tools because their warm, resonant tones encourage deep meditation, presence and a sense of inner stillness. This most certainly comes to life with what RenDaPan is creating. The harmonic overtones symbolize unity and balance – in line with the title of the composition, inviting us to feel connected to ourselves, others, and the universe. Equilibrio was recorded in Manilva, Spain, on one of RenDaPan’s magical walking routes after he discovered a beautiful stream and returned with his handpan to record the piece immediately.

We learn that RenDaPan is a London–based artist who has spent the past two years captivating audiences with the ethereal sound of the handpan. Originally a singer-songwriter and guitarist, he has since devoted all his time to playing and sharing the handpan with people around the world.
RenDaPan’s journey is shaped by a life-changing, existential experience, whereby five years ago his heart stopped for 90 seconds. After this, he returned with a renewed purpose to bring peace through music. He also plans to resume his free sunset beach sessions when the weather warms up!
Needless to say, we are in awe and captivated by the authenticity that RenDaPan exudes. We have added Equilibrio to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, as well as our personal spiritual frequency playlists, whilst we continue to stream the talented artist’s wider discography, including Alozaina, and Sunset Beach.
