We recently featured Killing$pree as he took us on a spiritual trip with the dynamic and psychedelic composition, Ephemerals, so naturally, we were curious to hear his latest release, DEMONCODE, and couldn’t wait to share our experience.
Drawing us in with a cerebral but melodic synth energy with the emergence of atmospheric break-beats, detailed with astral ad-libs, Killing$pree opens DEMONCODE with the ferocity and electronica-mastery that we have come to expect from the visionary producer.
There is drama infused into the track with a brooding melancholic bassline accompanying the textured beat and celestial nuances. The ebbs and flows are refined, and we appreciate the pounding energy that invites us to move our bodies. It’s sonically perfect for a gym work out, or an action scene from a movie like Deadpool, or perhaps even a sequel to Limitless.
An empowering energy definitely manifests with the track, which is also rave-friendly. We could imagine this being played at FOLD or UNFOLD in London. The compressed moments tap into a more dreamlike energy before the more hardcore elements kick in, and this attention to detail is what keeps us hypnotized throughout.
Speaking on his artistry and dedication, Killing$pree says, “I put each of my projects before everything else, even before myself and my health.” With reference to DEMONCODE specifically, he adds, “The melody of the song is really empowering and energetic, it exudes the power of will. That’s why it’s unique.”

Elaborating on the creative direction, Killing$pree confesses, “The recording process was tricky because I have an obsession with always changing the song in one direction or another, and soon it becomes a labyrinth I can’t get out of.”
Killing$pree is a solo artist from Pieksämäki, Finland, who is crafting powerful, phonk-influenced music that blends raw emotion, resilience and high-energy frequencies. He channels personal trauma and inner struggle into empowering soundscapes, and believes that music has the power to communicate even the most unspoken emotions.
We have added DEMONCODE to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TRIPPY playlist, whilst we continue to stream Killing$pree‘s epic, growing discography, and anticipate future releases from the visionary artist.
